Highs on Tuesday will be mainly in the 50s under sunny skies. Light west to northwest winds Tuesday morning will shift to the north and increase to around 15 to 25 mph with gusts near 35 mph as a cold front pushes south across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures will fall following the passage of the cold front into the 40s over much of the area. No precipitation is expected.
Cold conditions will be in store for the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles for both Wednesday and Thursday. Breezy northerly winds Wednesday and Thursday 15 to 25 mph with gusts around 25 to 35 mph with highs in the 30s to low 40s are expected both days.
Wednesday and Thursday will be cold, so be sure to dress in layers, cover exposed skin, and limit your time outdoors. Northerly winds around 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 25 to 35 mph will make it feel like the teens and 20s both days and in the single digits to near zero Wednesday night! Don't forget about your pets during the cold weather this week. Make sure they have a warm dry place to stay with plenty of food and water.
