A Small Craft Advisory is in effect from 9 PM tonight until Noon Thursday for the Laguna Madre, and from 9 PM tonight until 6 PM Thursday for the Gulf Waters between 0-60 nautical miles. North winds of 20-25 kts with gusts up to 35 kts are expected, with sea heights of 7-10 feet expected over the Gulf of Mexico. Conditions will be hazardous to anyone operating small craft during this time.
It will be quite a bit cooler tonight in wake of a cold front that will move offshore this evening. Expect temperatures to range from the low to upper 40s across most areas under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Overnight, winds will increase across Deep South Texas, especially along the coastal counties where winds of 15 to 20 mph are expected. Hazardous marine conditions are expected with Small Craft Advisories issued for all marine zones through tonight along with a lingering isolated shower of thunderstorm.
Much cooler weather is anticipated across Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley after the passage of a midweek cold front. The temperatures will start warming up Sunday and Monday with partly to mostly cloudy skies returning. There will be a slight chance of showers on Sunday.
