A cold front moves offshore this evening with the sky becoming mostly clear as the night progresses. Expect north winds at 10 to 20 miles an hour inland, 20 to 30 miles an hour along the coast, mainly after midnight. Cold again with lows from the upper 30s interior, to upper 40s barrier islands.
High pressure following the front today will allow for dry conditions to persist through the extended. Northerly flow will keep temperatures cool with lows in the mid to upper 30s Thursday and Friday night, with highs generally in the 60s.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect beginning at 8 PM this evening and continuing through noon Thursday for the bays and waterways, and until 6 PM Thursday for the Gulf waters. North winds from 20 to 30 knots will make for hazardous boating conditions for smaller vessels.
